Your Mission

As Platform Architect, you will play a central role in defining and evolving the architectural vision for Kollmorgen's entire product portfolio. You will guide and support system architects embedded in the development teams, ensuring alignment across solutions and technologies. This is a strategic leadership role where your experience and insight will help shape the architectural runway for the future growth in the AGV and AMR market.

You will report directly to the Director of Engineering and collaborate closely with the Lead Solution Architect, product owners, and engineering teams across disciplines.

Key Responsibilities

• Architectural Leadership: Define and maintain the overarching architecture for our platform, ensuring consistency, scalability, and alignment with business goals.

• Portfolio Guidance: Provide direction and mentorship to system architects across development teams, enabling cohesive and future-proof solutions.

• Strategic Influence: Drive architectural decisions that support long-term product evolution, innovation, and customer value.

• Cross-Team Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, UX, product management, and data teams to ensure architectural integrity and seamless integration.

• Technology Stewardship: Stay ahead of emerging technologies and trends, and guide their adoption to enhance performance, flexibility, and cost-effectiveness.

• Governance & Standards: Ensure architectural consistency and adherence to enterprise standards across all teams and solutions.

What You Bring

• Proven experience in a senior architectural role, ideally guiding architecture across multiple teams or product lines.

• A strong background in solution architecture, system design, or software engineering—minimum 5 years.

• Deep understanding of architectural principles, design patterns, and modern software development practices.

• Experience working in Scrum/SAFe environments and leading technical initiatives.

• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts to diverse stakeholders.

• A collaborative mindset and a passion for mentoring and enabling others.

Bonus Skills

• Experience with cloud platforms, microservices, API design, and integration strategies.

• Familiarity with AGV/AMR systems, warehouse automation, or intralogistics.

• Knowledge of secure-by-design methodologies and regulatory compliance in product development.
